This week’s article came from something pretty unexpected. We were about to promote our blog on Reddit, and then we saw a foreigner mention wanting to visit Lotte Tower. That little moment gave us the idea for our next topic. We often write like this — just following whatever comes to mind. So if you’re actually reading this (Is someone really out there?), leave a comment or send us a message. Tell us what you want to read about. We’d love to hear from you!

Lotte World Tower is a prominent landmark in South Korea, known for holding several impressive records. With its striking design and sky-piercing height, it’s classified as a true skyscraper.

  • The tallest building in South Korea
  • The 8th tallest building in the world
  • The 6th tallest skyscraper in the world

Lotte Tower is directly connected to Jamsil Station, making it easily accessible. It’s located beside the beloved Seokchon Lake, a favorite spot for many visitors.

Nearby, you’ll also find popular food and café streets like “Seok Village Lake Café Street” and “Songnidangil,” known for their trendy restaurants and charming cafés.

For details on the structure of Lotte World Tower, just refer to the chart above! As for what Bbapmoss will be covering this time — of course, it’s ‘Seoul Sky,’ located on the top floors from 117 to 123.

(We don’t work in the tower, and honestly, staying at Signiel is way out of our budget… so the only thing we can really review is Seoul Sky. Shhh, that’s our little secret! 😄)

If you want to check out more details about Lotte World Tower, make sure to visit the official website linked below!

The link above leads to the official website for Lotte World Tower as a whole. If you’re specifically looking for information about Seoul Sky, you’ll need to visit a separate site just for that.

When it comes to booking tickets, I gave it some thought — from a foreign visitor’s perspective.
If you’re Korean, you’d probably just go straight to Naver and book it without much hassle. But for foreigners, it’s not that simple… and that’s one of the tricky parts of running this blog! After looking into it, I’d recommend using Trazy to book your Seoul Sky ticket. Klook is another option, but at the time I’m writing this, there don’t seem to be any remaining tickets available there.

Right now, the ticket is about $19.1, but keep in mind — the price can change depending on promotions or special deals!

Lotte Tower’s Seoul Sky truly offers an incredible view — as expected from the highest point in all of Seoul. It’s that same kind of breathtaking perspective you get when a plane takes off and the city unfolds beneath you.

There’s even a café up there, and I definitely recommend enjoying it while you’re at the top. A cup of coffee with a skyline like that? It’ll only deepen the experience.

Sharing this kind of rare view with someone you love feels especially meaningful. And beyond Seoul Sky, Lotte Tower has so many things to see and do — so if you’re a traveler hoping to experience Seoul from all angles, I’d say: add Seoul Sky to your itinerary. You won’t regret it.

Now, let us show you what we actually saw during our visit to Seoul Sky!

On January 1st, 2023, we watched the sunset from Seoul Sky.
It felt like we were waving goodbye to the very first sun setting on the new year — the first one clocking out for 2023.

And the song playing in the background? One of my absolute favorites — “Tomorrow Tonight” by Loote. It made the moment even more unforgettable. Even the album cover perfectly matches the sunset view of Seoul from Seoul Sky. It’s like the song was made for that very moment. 🌇🎵

We mainly enjoyed the sunset and night view from Seoul Sky, but we’ve heard that the crisp, clear view on a sunny day is absolutely breathtaking!

If you’re interested, go take a look at more photos of Seoul Sky — and when you’re ready, try booking through the route I shared and enjoy the view yourself.

So that’s it for today’s post about Seoul Sky!
It was a short one, but I hope it gave you a bit of inspiration — especially if Lotte Tower was already on your list for your trip to Korea.

Let’s keep going until Bbapmoss publishes 100 posts and becomes a full-on Korea travel magazine.. ㅎ_ㅎ
Onward we go… fighting!~

Bonus tip: If you’re like Bbapmoss Moss and have a pet dragon,
you won’t even need to use the Lotte Tower elevator.

  1. I think I remember that when I went there I just bought a ticket directly from the kiosk 🤔 but things might’ve changed.

As for things I’d like to see perhaps an article on 포차 culture or the 성수 area.

    1. Hi there!
After reading your comment, the Bbapmoss team immediately had a little meeting and dug through our photo albums… And we realized — we don’t have enough materials or insight to write a proper article on that topic just yet!

Seongsu is such a trendy and ever-changing area, and since we haven’t been there recently, we’d definitely need to do more research before writing about it. As for 포차… sadly, we’re not drinkers, so we don’t have much personal experience to share. 😢

We really appreciated your suggestions, but they’re a bit tricky for us to cover right now. That said, if we get the chance to explore either of them in the future, we’ll definitely consider making a post about it. Thanks again for the inspiration!

Oh — and one more thing! We found out that for Seoul Sky, you can buy tickets on-site at both B1 and the Sky Station on the 117th floor. However, these are leftover tickets from online bookings, and unfortunately, you can’t get the same discounts or promotions as you would online. Thank you for sharing your experience with us! 😊
